VISION

To be a strong advocacy voice for Swaziland’s dynamic construction industry that embraces the best business and industry practices.

MISSION

To provide collaborative and influential leadership by empowering contractors and promoting excellence in the construction industry.

HISTORY

Swaziland Contractors Association is a trade Association of construction companies and allied tradesmen engaged in commercial, residential, industrial and institution construction through out the country. With the Declaration of Change of Swaziland Name, the Association was then changed to Eswatini Contractors Association (ECA) in 2018. ECA traces its history to 1991 with the objective of empowering Swazi Contractors in the industry.

At its inception, there were 30 members of the association.  Due to limited funding and activities, the membership then dropped to 10 in the next few years.

In 2007 the few members elected an interim committee which work tirelessly with the consultants to have the Construction Industry Council(CIC) established in Swaziland. Most of the work done by this committee was done  voluntarily out of their own resources and time.

In 2014,when the CIC was gazetted, the SCA committee Co opted new members, who altogether formed the current executive committee. Three committee members were to represent SCA on the CIC board to ensure the interests of the members were represented.

Today, SCA has successfully developed a strategic plan to effectively implement valued services to it's members.
